El mismo se realizó el pasado 26 de Junio en las instalaciones del Hospital de Clínicas. Se trabajó con un grupo selecto de alumnos, colegas y médicos que han realizado el curso de especialización en medicina del deporte. Ésto brindó la oportunidad de que todos los médicos, sea cual sea su especialidad, reciban las consignas estandarizadas del Colegio Americano y a través de su programa, instruirse en la didáctica.
Detalles del curso
El mismo se realizó en el piso 11 del Hospital de Clínicas con la cobertura, por la mañana, de una serie de recursos administrativos y encuestas a médicos, seguido de una charla de concientización sobre los beneficios de hacer actividad física, no sólo en el sedentarismo que toma gran importancia, sino también en una cantidad de factores de riesgos y enfermedades que están debidamente documentadas. A continuación, se prosiguió con una charla denominada «tamizaje» en la que se centra en explicar cuáles son los estudios estándares y simples del médico clínico para conocer la evaluación de aptitud. Como así también, ciertos consejos que éstos deberían dar a un individuo que hará actividad física.
Luego de la parte práctica a través de mediciones impedanciométricas y otras con dinamómetros, se trataron los principios generales del entrenamiento y los recursos que tiene que tener en cuenta un médico a la hora de recomendar una ejercitación adecuada. Esto dió lugar a un exámen escrito y normatizado del exterior, en donde se obtuvo el resultado de conocimientos adquiridos, tanto antes como después de haberse dictado el curso.
