Certificación de EIM en Argentina

Exercise is medicine hace su desembarco en Argentina de la mano del médico deportólogo y cardiólogo Jorge Franchella, quién fue nombrado director en el país de ésta certificación internacional de prescripción de ejercicio físico, impulsada por el Colegio Americano Deportiva (ACSM) y la American Medical Association (AMA).

¿Cuál es el fin de EIM?

El objetivo de Exercise is Medicine es motivar a los médicos a incluir la actividad física en los protocolos de tratamientos de sus pacientes, con el fin de prevenir y tratar enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles. Ésta certificación es parte del programa de actividad física y deportes del Hospital de Clinicas de la UBA.

Acerca de la primera exposición

Exercise is Medicine- que en español significa “Ejercicio es Medicina”- hizo su primera aparición en público con una charla gratuita, a cargo del Dr. Jorge Franchella y el Profesor Daniel del Ollio, que se realizó el pasado 6 de Septiembre en el Salón Ocre, del predio de La Rural, en el marco de Expo Marathon Buenos Aires.

Durante esta charla, dirigida a dueños y coordinadores de gimnasios, entrenadores personales e instructores de fitness, se abordaron los temas que sabemos sobre el ejercicio como medicina; cómo convertir un programa de fitness en salud y no en un riesgo; evaluación pre-participación, lo imprescindible y evaluaciones de salud y aptitud física.

Esta charla que contó con el auspicio de MIR Fitness, tuvo un cupo de 60 participantes.
